Octenisept 250ml

Octenisept is a medicinal product with bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal activity for use as a disinfectant for the skin (including after surgery), mucous membranes and oral cavity, as well as in the supportive treatment of inflammatory conditions in the genital tract.

The active substances are octenidine dihydrochloride (Octenidinum dihydrochloridum), phenoxyethanol (Phenoxyethanolum).

100 g liquid contains 0.1 g octenidine dihydrochloride and 2 g phenoxyethanol.

Excipients: cocamidopropyl betaine – 30% or 38% solution (dimethylammonium acetate of amidopropyl cocoacetic acid, sodium chloride, water), sodium D-gluconate, glycerol 85%, sodium hydroxide, purified water.

Disinfection of skin and mucous membranes: the parts of the skin and mucous membranes to be treated must be thoroughly moistened with a sterile gauze pad soaked in the medicinal product or moistened by spraying the drug directly onto the accessible parts of the skin and mucous membranes. The following must be observed

Octenisept contains active substances that have antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral effects. The drug has a destructive effect on bacteria, fungi, yeasts, protozoa (Trichomonas), viruses (Herpes simplex, inactivates HBV and HIV).

Octenidine acts on the surface of the skin and wounds, while phenoxyethanol completes octenidine’s range of action by acting in the deeper layers of the skin and mucous membranes.
